"Petrina Satori-Britt has been creating hand painted clothing and accessories for women and children on NorthShore of the island of Kauai in the state of Hawaii for the past 7 years. She is inspired by the palette of island colors found in the rainbows, ocean, mountains, foliage and an abundance of tropical flowers. Some of her most popular designs for women include flower leis in abstract, roses, plumerias, pikake and hibiscus as well as a pineapple and fern motif. For children she uses hula girls, petroglyphs, surfers, fish, turtles and pineapples. She uses a watercolor technique of "paper white" meaning that she uses wet brushes allowing portions of the fabric to show through in her work using natural fiber fabrics(cotton, rayon, linen) and she prefers Deka Permanent Paint for her creations - the majority of her blanks and all of her paint come from DharmaTrading!"
