Miranda Delgai was born in 1969. Her work at Hozhoni Foundation has showcased her talent for silk painting, batik, embroidery, and large scale hand-woven Navajo rugs. (The Hozhoni Foundation has been dedicated to mentoring adults with developmental disabilities since 1970. Ms.Delgai has been with this award winning art program since its inception in 1995.) Her work has been featured in many exhibits, most noteworthy, Coconino Center for the Arts and the 2005 Tash Conference in Milwaukee,Wisconsin. Her original art work features animals and conveys a sense of playfulness and rhythm.

Her batik technique uses Procicon fiber reactive dyes on cotton with beeswax, soda ash and sodium alginate (as a thickner). Since the winter of 2005, she began exploring silk painting with Sennelier's Tinfix® paints. Her love of brilliant colors is reflected in all of her work, but in particular, her silk and batik paintings (silk scarves and shawls).
