Vivid Earth Tie Dyes is Dan Howard and Krista Duell. We are eastern Kansas residents and have been making and selling our tie dyed clothing since the mid eighties. Like so many other tie dye artists we had ours eyes opened on Dead Tour. The quality and variety of tie dye artists seen there was incredible as well as inspiring. We couldn't wait to get home and try all the crazy new patterns and colors schemes learned on the last adventure!

Dharma Trading has been there all along. They are a great resource for all the tie dye needs including Procion dyes, soda ash, dye thickeners, squirt bottles and the like. Their collection of white blanks sewn with cotton thread is unmatched. Their customer service is wonderful, always helpful and cheerful, and where else are you going to hear Truckin' when on hold! We really enjoy the entire creation process but rounding up the variety of supplies required is one of the least fun aspects and that is where Dharma has really helped.

Now making and selling tie dyes is our full time occupation. It is a satisfying way of life because we know that we brighten up peoples lives. Our tie dyes have been worn by Bela Fleck, The Wailers, Sam Bush, members of Little Feat and more. It is really an honor to see your creation on stage in front of thousands!
