Carolyn Seabolt is a native of Maryland. She holds a BFA and MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Her background is varied and she has taught all facets of fine art and crafts to students at all educational levels. Her favorite medium is silk painting and batik. Her subject matter is mainly feline and flora, (she draws her inispitation from outside her studio known as Cat Tracks), where beautiful gardens and many felines visit on a regular basis. Carolyn's designs can be sewn into wearable art or framed as a fine art piece. She uses many supplies from Dharma Trading Co. including Dharma Fiber Reactive MX dyes and beeswax for Batik. For silk painting she uses Jacquard Silk Colors, Dye-na-flow Silk Paint, Jacquard clear and black resists, gutta applicators and silk scarves.
