Greetings from Brazil!

I am Maria Helena Brenner-Kelly, a born artist, although it took me a few decades to realize it.

A few years ago, I left behind a career as a marketing executive, moved to paradise and embraced my artistic side full-time, focusing on silk painting. I have participated in several trade-shows, classes and workshops both in Brazil and US, and one of my works has been shown at the Visual Arts Center at the Washington Pavilion, South Dakota. I have also sold pieces in the USA, Brazil and Europe.

Dharma Trading plays a big part in every piece I make. I use Dharma’s silk, both by yard and scarves. I love the China Silk because of great cost/benefit, and also splurge on crepe de chine and silk/wool blends. I also use the dyes, the water based resists, and the tools (love the Chinese hooks and the tjantings).
