Featured Artist : Virgil & Marina | Feed A Hippie Tie Dye
Hello,
Our names are Virgil & Marina, Feed A Hippie Tie-Dye. This past November marked one year of us doing tie-dye together. Virgil had done some dyeing years earlier. Together, we've had lots of fun experimenting and fine-tuning our style. This year we have vended several music festivals, including The Wanee fest in Live Oak, FL, all events at Camp Zoe in Missouri, and Hookahville in Ohio. We have also dyed band merchandise for "The Schwag," a Grateful Dead tribute band, as well as many custom orders with all satisfied customers. Our favorite things to dye are tapestries.
Our main reasons for doing tie-dye are having fun making them, and meeting the beautiful people we get to meet along the way. Our customer feedback has been beyond all expectations. We use Dharma's Procion MX dyes, soda ash, urea, and Synthrapol.
For examples of our work, you can visit our MySpace page at

Dharma Fiber Reactive Procion Dyes
This is the #1 best dye we recommend for tie-dye, batik, dye-painting or screening, etc. on cotton, rayon, bamboo, Tencel®, linen and other natural fibers. Also for solid color dyeing and many other techniques!
Soda Ash Fixer
Soda Ash (Pure Dense Sodium Carbonate) is required to 'fix' or 'make permanent' Dharma Fiber Reactive Dyes. Available in 1, 5, 10, and 25 lb. sizes at discount prices.
Urea
Used for tie-dye and direct application dyeing with Fiber Reactive Dyes to yield deeper, brighter colors.
Synthrapol Detergent
Synthrapol is used as both a pre-wash and as an after-wash. A "must have" for dyers! New - low foam version is also available.
