My B.S. Degree in art, from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, gave me a start in my career in art. After 22 years as a studio potter, a strong current took me down a new stream, which led to the ocean. As an experienced scuba diver and snorkeler, I couldn't resist capturing the colorful underwater world on paper.

I drew colorful fish, unique fish and many interesting creatures of the sea. My collection of colored pencil drawings grew, until I completed a batik class.

 Batiking fish and other sea-life has become a means for me to creatively share my love for color and the ocean. I thoroughly enjoy my work as a batik artist, creating cheerful art for others to enjoy.

Dharma Trading Co. has supplied me with Jacquard Silk Dyes and Dyeset, Habotai Silk 10mm, Beeswax to mix with paraffin and the absolutely necessary Reduran Hand Cleaner.
