Love being able to have scarf clips that are customable to match the scarf. I ordered ten and have so far made three the first two went fine. The last one that I made yesterday fell apart... the metal clasp fell off the button back... but I just got some glue and stuck it back on.

I absolutely love these scarf clips! They are perfect for holding silk scarves without the pulling of the fabric which occurs when the scarves are tied into place on the hip (dancers). They are very well made and are easy to work on to embellish or paint!

So this is probably stating the painfully obvious but tossing this into a pot of acid dye along with the fabric for a dress isn't the best strategy. Liquid gets trapped inside the body of the clip and by the time it finally drains out there's a rust problem. So. There's that. I'm chalking this up to user error and giving it a good review because I'm sure it would have been fine if I'd just painted it instead.

These clips were great until they changed the size from 2" to 1 12" in diameter. The silk part is now the same size as the brass backing clip so it's much smaller (but more expensive!). The silk part looks quite insignificant against a scarf and the backing clip is now more visible. I order these all the time (old version) so I didn't notice the change in size on the listing. Especially as the old photo is still up and misleading. I'm so sorry that I ordered 20 of them! Please Dharma consider finding a supplier that makes the 2" size again!

When they work well they are great and so nice to be able to match to a custom dyed scarf. Unfortunatley half of mine have broken the first time the ring is pulled up at the back. When that piece breaks it cant be glued back on.

Love this scarf clip. It holds the paint and color well and looks amazing once painted! Will order more for sure.

Pretty and looks like good quality. But I still have to figure out how to get the gutta or the thickener out without dissolving the eventual glue that may be holding the silk and also without ruining the metal backing.

I'm still trying to figure out how to paint it. Probably will use a resist.
