In honor of 19th century dancer Isadora Duncan (born in San Francisco, so she's our home girl), we bring to you the flowing and graceful Greek inspired "Isadora Top"! You don''t have to be a "free movement" dancer to wear it. Looks great with every day jeans or leggings!
Made of our 100% Rayon Light fabric which is lightweight, gauzy, and easy to wear in the summertime. Opaque after dyeing. The top has kind of a scooped out bateau neckline and a fully smocked waist (front and back). Flattering to many figure types. Romantic, diaphanous and easy to wear. Trendy peplum skirting at bottom, wide shoulder expanse, and side flares. The shoulder area is styled like a classic poncho, so it will lay flat on the table for you tie-dyeing folks. Edges on this top are all rolled and stitched down - so no flopping facings to get in the way of your dyeing process. Sewn with cotton thread for perfect dyeing.
For you theater costumers, this top could also be worn as dancewear, as the armholes are roomy for arm extensions and the smocked waist area stays put on the body. The stretchy Bella Ladies Camisole Tank would also work well for dancers underneath the Isadora top and our American Apparel Cotton Spandex Jersey Unitard or Interlock Running Short would also work well to complete a dancers costume.
