Product Description

I saw this dress in a magazine for $65 and liked the dress but not the price. An extremely loose comfy cut for summer that fits a variety of shapes and sizes. 100% cotton jersey, sewn with cotton thread so you can dye them nicely in any color you fancy. Self fabric rolled straps, with a camisole style neckline. Bottom hem turned and double top stitched. Wear as a dress or beach cover up. Great when you'd rather be "nekked" but HAVE to wear clothing....

News flash - because you all have requested it, we have added size S!

I purchased 3 of these from a tie dye artist in Oregon 4-5 years ago. I have worn washed and cherished them as my summer "blech it's too hot" wear. They wear like iron and are just now showing signs of abuse. I recently bought an embroidery machine and hope to get a few more to decorate. I looked all over for these and was pleased to see the tags in mine still showed the Dharma Trading Company Information. :o) I LOVE the fact that they are Made in the USA. Thanks for a great product.

Finally something all cotton to sleep in. I am 60 and I want to be covered. These babies respond beautifully to a little attention. A little handmade Dharma lace and smocking and ribbon if that is your style.. They take dye very well. The indigo tie dye was lovely in a pale blue just a few dips in the indigo bucket. I found the dharma sage green fiber reactive dye then with a simple batik and then just a light wash of cerulean gives a lovely color. For Valentines day I enjoy a warm pink I like a very light light hand with the Dharma oxblood fiber reactive dye to make the pink and then appliqu a heart. It is worth the extra effort to soften the garment. In fact I run them through three cycles with milsoft to soften. It is easy when I am doing a fiber project to add a nightie for myself.

I love these dresses. I'm not sure why Dharma calls them coverups but they make a great summer dress for those who want something simple and breezy for the summer. They dye up nicely too.

This is a fun garment to work with as a tie dyer. I made one to see how they would be received and it sold 30 minutes after I put it on display. I can't wait to dye some more.

I had a bit of trepidation when I ordered simply because something this inexpensive to my way of thinking would be cheaply made. Not so. I washed it in hot hot water in the machine and dryed it on hot hot in the dryer. The construction and finish of the product is great as is the fabric weight - not flimsy and thin but substantial which is as it should be for a dress. As far as softness that may be an issue if you are sensitive to fabric but I think it will become softer with time.I used this dress as a tie dye project - it took the dyes beautifully. I plan to do some batik with another one in the future simply because these are such fun dresses! I can see these as a group project for family and friends and for presents. Sizing is good but not binding which is as a dress of this type should be - nice fit in the bustline but not so low cut as to show underwear in front or back.Very pleased with this product altogether.

Great dress if you want returning customers-- they buy one and come back year after year for another one! Thanks for a great product - wish there was also a short version of this dress because it fits almost anyone!

As an amateur fabric artist this product has held up to the "practice" phase of my new career very well.

like it a lot. i'd give it a 5 if the fabric were a tad softer and lighter. i am way more sensitive to fabric than anyone i know--so take my rating with a grain. i ordered 2 and cut one off to make it shorter for warm weather.
