Product Description

These new fabrics are made entirely from pineapple plant fiber.  They are a natural off-white color, and have stripes of shiny fiber across the width.  As they are made from natural plant fiber (cellulose) they dye easily with Fiber Reactive Dyes, iDye, Natural Dyes, and surely any other dye that will work on cottons, rayon or hemp.

Pineapple Fiber Fabrics, who would have thought?  Seems they can make fabric from just about anything these days.

Fabric Details
• Width is about 45”
• Weight/square yard = PF2 is approximately 2.00oz and the PF3 is approximately 2.5oz
• Thread count is approximately 90 x 86
• You can dye this with our Fiber Reactive Dyes, iDye, Natural Dyes
• Suggested usage; Light weight jackets, shirts, pants, home decor
• Important: frays easily - take the time to run a quick stitch or hem all the way around before washing, and reinforce your seams!
• We found that the PF2 shrinks 22% in Length and 4% in Width and the PF3 shrinks 17% in Length and 1% in Width disclaimer

Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

Beautiful cloth I got a yard just to see what it was like. I washed it and it wasn't as stiff but would make great drapes or something similar. What I found most interesting is that it provided the thread that I used to do the hem and the rod pocket with from the material it's self. I cut the edges to straighten them for sewing and noticed that if I pulled a string I could get a good length thread.A true bargain and I am seriously considering enough to do curtains for the entire house for summer.

Okay haven't dyed with it yet or even washed it for that matter but wow! Its the first plant-based fiber fabric I have ever felt that truly feels like silk organza!!! So gorgeous and neat for sculpting especially with the stunning sheersatin stripes. Bellissimo!

This fabric is so interesting to dye. It shrank a lot but it became so soft and the stripes were lovely and luminous. A really fun fabric.

Great fabric perfect for drapes. Awesome for throw pillows. My only wish is that the stripe ran down the fabric instead of across! Better drapes that way!Still a fantastic fabric. Looks amazing in light colors layered over darker shades.
