Featured Artist : Carl McClellan | Mr. Tie-Dye

My name is Carl McClellan, aka MrTieDye.  I started twisting tees and splashing dye from Dharma in August, 2000, and  quickly realized the unlimited potential of the tie-dye medium.  I experimented with many techniques of tie-dye as I explored its history.  Now, along with my peers, I feel I am boldly contributing to the future of this dynamic new face now emerging in the World of Art ~ Tie-Dye!

My passion for creating with tie-dye is contagious and I pass it on being an Artist In Residence and the Guest of Honor at countless Tie-Dye 'Home Parties'.  I have spread the joy of this hands-on experience to thousands of children and adults, earning myself 'Rock Star' status in many Oregon Schools.
