We lost our source for the opaque paper that we were carrying, so we had to find a new source. Companies came out of the woodwork sending us samples, which we dutifully tested. The result? Papers for similar prices as our old one were just not as good and we knew our customers would be unhappy. Normally we try to be very competitive with our prices too, so it pained us to get samples of one that was going to be more expensive. But we put it through its paces anyway. Our transfer paper expert came back from the "lab" with sparkles in her eyes.
"This is the best one I've ever tried!
Try picking at the corners! It's softer than our old stuff too, and it doesn't come up at all!" Unlike all the other opaque papers we tested, this one lasted through numerous washes without cracking and peeling, and with no noticeable color loss! So yes, we had to raise our price, but we thought it was worth it for such good quality. We want you to not hesitate to try it, though, so at least for now, we actually lowered the price of the basic 10 pack of 8.5x11". So sample it! We think you will like it!
This product is your first choice for transferring images onto dark fabrics.
Take any image on your computer, print it on this paper with your inkjet printer, then press the image onto a pre-shrunk shirt or other clothing item and voilla!
Unlike our basic transfer paper, Opaque paper always works much better with our great new discounted heat presses, so if you are in production, we highly recommend you get a press! It could change your life! Easy and lots of fun! This paper requires lots of heat and pressure, and home irons just don't do it very well.
Allows you to put white or color images on black or dark fabrics and not have the fabric show through. (Our other
Inkjet Transfer Paper
allows the fabric color to show through the blank or light areas of your image.) This paper has an opaque white background so nothing shows through. Any area of your image that is not printed upon will remain white. Therefore, it's best to trim your print close to the image if you don't want a white background or border. Works great on all of our
black stuff
.
Please note that transfer paper DOES have a shelf life; it lasts about 6 months depending upon storage. It must be kept sealed in its plastic bag. High humidity or dry conditions can shorten its shelf life.
Made in: UNITED STATES (USA)
Some newer pigment based inks may react differently with various transfer papers, causing color shifts after heat setting. As always we recommend testing products, processes, and techniques before you start a large project.

I love this paper, really does cover well. The only paper I use for dyed shirts. With a heat press this is a dream. Just be sure not to use too much heat, and trim closely to the edge of the image to avoid a white edge. Never had trouble with the image bleeding as the previous reviewer. I agree it doesn't stretch, but neither do other opaque papers out there

I was concerned about using this with Epson Durabrite inks, but I didn't have any problem with yellowing. However this product is the most frustrating transfer paper I have ever used. The batch I got is extremely difficult to peel from the backing, and once I managed to get it started to peel often the corner was damaged from picking at it so many times. I also had trouble with it sticking to the cover paper unless it was removed at just the right time after pressing. It bubbles easily and tears if it is printed on stretchy fabric. I gave up after 4 sheets since it was slowing my production and I ended up with several ruined items.

There should be an easier way to peel the backing paper from the transfer. Do you have any suggestions?
Should only parchment paper be used between transfer and heat press can any other paper be used?
Thank you

Much, much, much easier to use/apply than any other opaque transfer I've tried, including Avery's (did I mention much easier?).

Transfers worked great and looked great - made red "dinosaur" t-shirts for our local Head Start group's field trip - the kids loved them and the teachers could see their red-shirted charges easily! The kids could see their teachers easily too, and the folks who ran the place wanted a picture of them! thanks a lot -

Best dark transfer paper EVER! It peeled incredibly easy, colors look great, no lifting after wash & dry, and instructions were detailed & easy to follow. I'm glad I broke down and bought this after trying multiple cheaper products. I made so many shirts that my hands were sore from pressing down on the iron.
I also learned a lot from your website and other users: transfer paper is delicate and should be stored away from excess light, heat, and air. It can dry out, so don't print it until you are ready to use it!
Thanks,
Ann-Marie
