Addie Silk Art: Silk Painting Lessons DVD 1

I’m sold! I have always been interested in silk painting but thought it was too difficult and unapproachable. My boyfriend got me this DVD for the holidays. What a great idea! This DVD has inspired me to pursue silk painting. The DVD is very well laid out in chapter by chapter lessons highlighting techniques and helpful hints. The lessons are jam packed with practical information about painting on silk. The instructor makes it so easy to follow: taking you through the process from blank silk to the finished product. I highly recommend this DVD.

I was disappointed with this DVD. It is basically over 2 hours of watching someone paint inside the lines, like using a coloring book. There is no clear information presented about products or basic steps. It is very repetitive......just watching someone dab on color over and over and over.

Just watching this artist's gallery was worth the price. Video breaks things down beautifully for beginners. People who are advanced might not need to buy this. For me, the tutorial was really great. Actually, if I were advanced, I would have paid just to see this artist's gallery of work on this video. Just beautiful.

Recently purchased this DVD and I'm very pleased. The lessons are excellently paced, well delivered, and as a result I am much happier with my own silk painting. I highly recommend this DVD to beginners and advanced artists. WELL DONE!

I just received this video. It is a bit slow, but is also very interesting. The techniques and information are great for beginners as well as advanced. The production is fact filled and easy to understand. It is important to read the jacket for resource information. Her art is bright, cheerful and inspiring! I wish she had elaborated a bit more, but this is a good item for any silk painters' library!
We will enjoy it in class and at our newly formed "SPIN" group, Silk Artists of the California Central Coast!
