Product Description
Jersey is a knitted, very slightly stretchy fabric with a smooth flat face and a more textured but uniform back. It is what basic t-shirts are made of. This one is a nice weight with a very usable width of 58 to 60".
Fabric Details
• 100% combed ringspun cotton
• 6.5oz per linear yd ;  58/60" wide
• You can dye this with our Fiber Reactive Dyes
• Suggested usage: custom made over sized tops and tees, costuming, theater draperies, sportswear, skirts and dresses, fabric sculpture (fabric wrapped and pulled over infrastructure, then painted with gesso) etc.
• We found that this shrinks 4% in length and 1% in width disclaimer
• Available in cut yardage (bulk discounts levels at 10+ , 25+ yds.) and in 100 yard bolts
• Machine wash in any temperature water

Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

For the price, if you are a beginning dyer/sewer it cant be beat. Be warned, your colors will look NOWHERE near as bright as some of the more expensive fabrics, but that is to be expected. If you mess up and you have to seamrip, there will be BIG holes in the fabric. Not very soft, very thin almost see through at times after you dye it. I would only recommend as practice fabric or if you only are going to wear the item once and not sell it. But for the price, hey its good dyeable fabric.

The service was excellent, as usual. This jersey was exactly as described: thinner than the CJ60, but I used it as a double layer where the CJ60 was used as the under-layer and this JER40 as the top layer. It worked out to be perfect. It also dyed nicely.

Great fabric! It's much lighter than the other cotton jersey Dharma carries. This is definitely a light jersey. The weight, based on 6.5 oz/linear yard mentioned in the description, is about 4 oz/square yard.
