Product Description
No experience required! Because it is so well explained - my kind of book. This is a "low water immersion" method of dyeing with our Fiber Reactive dyes devised by Ann Johnston (author of "Color by Design"). The approach is very spontaneous, uses very little water & dye, no salt, and gives you the chance to create one-of-a-kind goodies. 5 variations, with 54 tested recipes. Tons of info on Procion dyeing. Great for creating a pallet of unique fabrics for those one of a kind art quilts we all drool over. Learn to make fabrics that gradate from light to dark, or one color to another too.
5.5"x8" hard bound, 95 pages, color plates.
Made in: UNITED STATES (USA)

I was in a great hurry to get started creating colored fabric my way I found it a little overwhelming. But, I was able to creat some oooohs and aaaahs with my quilting buddies. But, today we had a snow day (I drive a school bus) I slowed down and read it again and with great success. I dyed almost 20 yds. of fabric. I think I am hooked. Just what I need "another addiction".

The book walks you through several recipes, and although you will not get exactly what you see on the pictures, but this is a must-have handout if you want to learn how to dye fabric.

The dye recipes call for entirely too much dry dye. After consulting with an industry expert it seems there may have been a misprint in the printing. Please be aware of this if you decide to purchase.

Nice book. I haven't actually had a chance to apply what I've learned in reading it but it seems to have easy to follow instructions and information.

Fabulous information. Not everything that you would need, but so far the instructions in the book have come out exactly as pictured! How great is that!?!?
