Woven in China with 100% light weight cotton with zig zagged cotton thread hems. Not exactly gauze, more like a Hankie weight fabric. They dye brilliantly and are good for hand painting as an alternative to silk. Light as a feather, less transparent when dyed, there are dozens of ways to use and wear them. The sarong is particularly nice as a beach cover up. Tie-dye it or dye it a solid color to match something else. Or just add a vivid splash of color to your wardrobe!

The cotton squares, 27, 36 and 42" are perfect for making Peace Sign small tapestries. They are very popular at our local art festival.

While the scarf took the dye beautifully, it came out of the wash (after washing with Professional Textile Detergent) rather stiff. Not gauze-like at all, hankie weight is more appropriate (which they say in the description). I am hoping to wash it in Milsoft to soften it up, but if it stays stiff I might use it as a wall hanging or drape it over a table. Too stiff to wear as a traditional neck scarf.

Poor quality, stiff, definitely NOT gauze, takes color very poorly, would never order again! These had to go in the trash as they are even too stiff to wash the car. Waste of my money.

I am going to stick with the silk and the bamboo rayon. These are definitely NOT gauze or even gauze-like. They are stiff even after washing several times. Plus, they don't take color well. I purchased several to try including the sarong. They are unusable. I wish I could return them, but they are dyed. I am so disappointed, because all other products I have purchased are fantastic.

The description is not accurate. Definitely not gauze, and does not drape at all like the photo. When dyed solid colors, they look like scrub fabric. Didn't soften much when washed. Rolled edges were good, but thread didn't dye the same as the fabric.
Think of this more like a bandana than a scarf.
