Made in France by Pebeo, the makers of Pebeo Soie Silk Dye, this is another good imported French Gutta which some artists prefer. Thin very carefully (if needed) and clean up with Gutta Solvent. Colored Guttas are left on the fabric. Do NOT Dryclean unless you need to remove a mistake!

Due to federal fire regulations, Solvent Based Guttas can ONLY be shipped by UPS Ground to the 48 mainland States, and only up to 1 quart (liter)(1000ml) at a time. See our Water Based Resists for additional options.

If you are looking for a black solvant based gutta this isn's the one. It is thin, even after shaking and mixing with a stick, it seperates quickly. The lines are a light grey at best which I can describe as looking like an ink wash. Beautiful for drawing but I wanted a darker line for this design. Great gutta otherwise, nice thin lines really hold silk paint. I am basing this review on fact that I got a deep black line with the Jacquard black water based gutta which does not hold the dye as well. Keep shaking the Pebeo gutta as you work and do not squeeze the applicator too hard, tends to blob at the beginning. Perhaps the bottle I got was too thin from the factory.
