MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS

I'm just finishing up my first three devore scarves using this kit. The instructions are well written and easy to follow, but the colors that are needed for the recommended combinations are not all included in the kit. I would have to buy those separately to achieve their suggestions. So I had to experiment, which I didnt really want to do seeing as how expensive the kit is. Also the droppers for measuring dyes were very difficult to read so I wasnt too sure how much of the dyes I had added to the pot. But having said that the colors that I tried were vivid and satisfying. The only one I didnt like was a silk blue/red combo for purple with a yellow for the viscose. The purple deffinatly muddied the yellow. What would make this a great kit is if there were combinations of colors and amount of dyes used for each combo that used the colors in the kit. There was a deffinate chemical ordor in the room so i would strongly advise good ventilation.

These are just so much fun, like having a kid's chemistry set! I wish I had a bit more understanding of the proportions needed for the size scarf, but experimenting is part of the adventure. I can see making these for gifts because everyone loves them, and I sold the first one I ever made. Warning: using the kit will make you want more colors after the first few scarves - they are THAT much fun!

Being a beginner I was VERY skeptical. But the result were gorgeous and exactly what I imagined they would be. Very simple, very vibrant, beautiful colors. Can't wait to use them again

Fabulous products! I just wish I had checked your your online step by step instructions instead of following the brochures' instructions. And this is because the recommended amount of dye to be used is vastly different, far more economical to do it your way, and the end result is more attractive in terms of colour too. So thank you!

Fantastic fun! Customers loved the results. When dying though, the amounts of dye needed to get the intensity I wanted ended up being costly. About $6 of product per 12x72 Devore Satin Scarf. The step by step instructions and having all the needed components in one set were helpful to me though. Now that I know what I'm doing, I'll buy in bulk next time.

Made several scarves that were silk/rayon velvet devore, and silk satin/ chiffon and was delighted with the results. One of each in each dye pot and the results were very beautiful and very different for each fabric type.

I dyed one scarf and liked the results. I wish the selection of colors was a little different, however. I showed the results of the one scarf I had dyed to friends and they were very interested.

These dyes are fun and easy to use. I followed the instructions on Dharma's site and had no trouble at all. The kit was a nice affordable way to get introduced to the alter ego dying process. I'm sure I'll be buying more dyes in the near future.

Very nice results on satin devore. Did two scarves with red silk and blue rayon. Chucked one in with a blend I was trying on another devore white. Got (duh!) red dye bleed from the original which was threatening to turn my pastel blue background to berry coloured. So during mid-boil, I was tossing in more of all 4 of the dye colours I used, and got very satisfying results which were unexpected and lovely. This is expensive dye, but such a low-hassle process. If you were shooting for lower density colour, you could use far less of the dye than they recommend.

I absolutely love these dyes, and always have gotten satisfying results, but I, along with your other fans, plead for smaller, more cost effective sizes!!
