This fixative is designed for use with the Alter Ego Dyes. It is required to set the dye on the fabric. Add to the dye bath the same time as the 2 types of dye.

I know it is expensive, but the AlterEgo dye results are really nice. I've also got some Procion MX dyes with high potential for colour splitting, and I've read online that this fixative will enhance that effect -- haven't tried it.

My kitchen is not for cooking any more!!
The Alter Ego Dyes are so much fun and the colours are amazing! Even if I think the combination might be ugy, they come out awesome!
