Instructions
The Easy Fix Fabric Stretcher Frames is an easy to use, modular, versatile, durable, and inexpensive silk painting frame system. Also great for stretching any other fabric for other crafts such as batik and fabric painting. Strong plastic which can be simply wiped clean after use. It allows maximum and continuously adjustable tension and comes with a nylon storage/carrying case.
The Basic and Small systems are each made of 4 plastic bars with clever corner connectors that allow for size adjustments. The bars are riddled with holes into which fit the special suspension hooks attached to pegs. A set of these hooks are included with each frame, and are available separately also. The Extension can be added to either System to make a larger square, or to make a longer skinny frame to accommodate many different scarf sizes.

Good.. but not perfect. The plastic corners that supposedly lock the frame don't have the holes lined up in the right place to "lock." Easily fixed with a drill, but who wants to do that!

I got the SF1 and extension. They have made my life much easier. The best thing is the ease of tightening up the silk after wetting. It is very easy to clean and it doesn't take up any space when broken down. Great product!

I have the basic, the small and the extender and I am hooked! :) Once you do it the first time it's super easy to put together. It's easy to clean, easy to adjust to a huge variety of sizes (especially with the extender) and when broken down it takes up as much space as a standard umbrella. Love it. Woo-hoo!!!

note exactly what I thought they would be like and unfortunately they don't stretch to accomondate the 22' wide pices all that well not to metione 48 x48 smaller pieces worked fine-- FOUdn the directions a bit confusing

I have the basic frame and extenders and find the frame awkward to use. Arthritis interferes with my strength and dexterity, but I much prefer a small plastic picture frame, even though it's not adjustable.

I have several differnt frames including a PVC frame I designed for myself. But the one I use mose it this frame because of its versitility and its light weight. When I airbrush the frames are easy to clean afterward or to wipe down between colors.

This is a great idea, but the plastic is too flemsy! I was disappointed in the quality, materials too cheap. It needs to have more body, and if the plastic had inch marks it would help. Also I had to wire the corners together because they just would not stay in place with the plastic hardware proviced, corners would not fit snug,corner pieces were just not secure. Great idea, needs improvement in the qualit area.

This unit looks overpriced, especially if one considers that it is made of plastics, and therefore subject to bending and changes in dimensions over time. However, it is quite versatile and cleverly designed, so I rate a good buy. It is made such that one can stretch fabric along its length or width separately, or stretch both ways simultaneously.

Too bad the straight connecting pieces don't have pins and holes to hold them in place. Also it would be great if the extension set came with longer metal rods, to hold the bigger pieces nice and square.

This product works very well, and the engineering is very clever. It was easy to assemble and works exactly as it says. The only down side is that it become hopelessly unwieldy when using the extender. I suppose this is unavoidable, as 6' scarves are going to need 6' of space, but it might be helpful if the extender were comprised of several smaller (12") pieces instead of just long ones.

Needed these extensions for longer scarves. Does not come with enough pins/clips though. Even though I had an extra box, I'll still have to order more.

I am disappointed in this product I think that the frame is flimsy and wobbly. I prefer using my old method of stretching scarves to be painted, using wooden stretcher bars, pins and elastic.

Awkward to use as a rectangle. The extra length in frame pieces gets in the way when working. Also needs to be clamped down with C clamps or corners warp up. Seems sort of cheap.

I woul prefere the wooden strechers it's easier, the holes in the corners are very diffecult to put the pins in, and it's not stable like the wood strecher.
