Only certain paints will work well in marbling - they have to be able to float on the surface of the "size". Some do, some don't. The paints are thinned with water, Versatex Dispersant, or Oxgall so you will use less than when painting directly.

Economical, easy to use, lots of bright colors, leaves a soft hand. Cons: None we could come up with!
Lumiere And Neopaque Pros:
The shiniest, most luminous metallic colors, the best coverage on dark fabrics, also works great on leather, wood and paper. Cons:
Expensive, but worth it!!
