Here's a better Tjanting from Indonesia, the home of batik. Carefully handmade in a small village with all copper parts and Teak wood handles. Copper is easier to heat than the brass ones, and the tips produce a finer line. Some also use the size #1 for drawing very fine lines of wax to make
Ukranian Easter Eggs
! These tools just look good too!
#1 = 1 mm
#2 = 1.5 mm
#3 = 2 mm
Also in double spout (for parallel lines and filling larger areas)

I'm happy with the sharp edged lines you can have with these tools. They retain their heat for a decent amount of time, though I wish it were longer.

These tools are fantastic! I have only tried 2 other kinds previously to ordering these, but those previously used broke in the first two days of using it. Although I am still learning the process of batik, these tools I received from you are beautifully made and work quite well. I got them in a short amount of time too. Thanks!!

These work really well and are nicely made. The copper stays hot for a long time which keeps wax liquid and at a relatively even temperature for some time which is also great. Couple of notes in case this matters to anyone: 1) We noticed the wax taking on a greenish hue after extended contact with this tool, suspect there is a reaction with the copper occurring 2) if wax flowing out right away is a problem for you, holding a spoon under the tjanting while you transport it to the fabric works really well to prevent unwanted drips. Overall very happy with these.

I wish I had ordered one with a little larger hole to allow for the wax to flow more quickly...But this would be more my problem than the product...smile..if you order get the size you think you want as well as a larger one...
