Specially treated fabrics with a paper backing run smoothly through most all brands of ink jet printers - home & office models as well as commercial wide-format models. Also, if your printer prints banners, as many do, you can make scarves and pennants. Dye based inks are permanent, washfast and dry cleanable on silk after steaming. (Do not use Durabrite or other pigment based inks on this product) The possibilities are endless! Since results can vary printer to printer, ink to ink, and by setting, remember to allow for testing.

And it's as easy as this:

1. Create your design onscreen - draw, paint, scan. Whatever.
2. Put the fabric in the printer and print with dye based inks.
3. Peel away the paper backing & then steam the silk in an improvised steamer (we have instructions) or a silk steamer.
4. Rinse with Synthrapol & iron dry.

Why use this product when you could use our new Silk Fabric for Ink Jet Printers that does not require steaming? Because, with the Professional version the image is darker and sharper when steamed, as well as washable!
