Thickener can be used to thicken dyes in order to paint without the use of gutta or resist. It is also very useful for sponging, stenciling, stamping and screen printing. You can add it drop by drop to your dye until the desired consistency is achieved. Just let it dry and then steam set. The thickener will wash out in the rinse to leave the fabric soft.
