Product Description
Super soft rich fabric. Our Velveteen is a fabric of woven 100% cotton with a short close weft pile in imitation of velvet. It is stronger and denser than a rayon/silk velvet , and the pile is shorter. Takes the dye like crazy!
Fabric Details
• 100% cotton
• 220g/square meter, approx 55" wide
• Thread count is 84 threads per inch x 88 threads per inch
• You can dye this with our Fiber Reactive Dyes
• Suggested usage; jackets, coats, vests, pants, home decor curtains, slipcovers, toss pillows, handbags and totes etc.
• We found that this shrinks 8% in Length and 1/2 % in Width disclaimer
• Tightly woven, super supple and supper soft
• Available in cut yardage (bulk discounts levels at 10+ yds.) and in 55 yard bolts
• Machine wash in any temperature water
• This fabric is PFD

Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

This is fantastic fabric for dyeing! It is a customer favorite in my store. It is a good weight and very sturdy like the other reviewer said.

This stuff takes dye very well, is more plush than others I have found, sew like a dream, does not stretch out of shape like some. My friend and I are very satisfied and plan on ordering more!

Rating would be a 5 star except the selvedge unraveled while the yardage was being preshrunk in my front-loading washing machine. The unraveling wasn't a problem for my project but might be for someone else's project if they were counting on a firmly woven/solid selvedge edge.

Not pure white, but rather a very light cream; this was a pleasant surprise for my project though! This veveteen is thinner than the stuff in Joann's and has very little velveteen sheen, (shorter pile), but it is quite opaque despite that. It is difficult to see turned under seams which is rare for any white fabric.
