The
Opaque Colors cover underlying colors and are use-for-anything-on-anything-in-any-way-you-want fabric paints. Beautiful and versatile. Truly opaque to give great coverage on dark fabrics. The metallics are gorgeous! One of the softest (not plastic feeling) opaque/metallic paints we have ever tried. Hand paint with them, print with our beautiful copper tjaps, stencil, silk screen, block print or any other technique where you need a medium consistency opaque fabric paint. Since these are the softest opaque/metallic fabric paints we carry, they work great even on such fine fabric as silk. The metallics are wonderful for hi-lights on your dyed silks. Great as the final touch on some "complex cloth" techniques.
The other type of Setacolor, the
Transparent Colors allow underlying colors to show through. These are great for the Serti Technique on silk, tie-dye, spray bottle effects, batik, splatter techniques, and sun-painting (heliographic art).
Setacolor can also be used as silk screening silk when thickened with 2% to 5% thickener.
Drying: air dry for 1 hour.
Fixing: two possibilities : with an iron (cotton position), for 5 minutes, on the reverse side of the fabric; in the oven, for 5 minutes at 300°F (300°C) (stabilized temperature).
Caring: after fixing, the colors resist machine washing at 40°C (100°F) and dry cleaning.
