Paraffin Wax

This Paraffin Wax melts at 145º F. Useful for candles, Batik, whatever! In Batik, Paraffin wax tends to be brittle and crack a lot. Batik artists usually mix it with Beeswax or Sticky (Microcrystalline) wax to control the crackle so it doesn't just flake off the fabric.

Paraffin wax comes in blocks that weigh about 1 pound and it is priced by the block and by the case.

Remember to work in a well ventilated area and never heat paraffin wax hotter than 240º F (it will burst into flames).

Blocks are sold by the pound or in 50lb. cases.
