Product Description
A shiny, soft and drapey fiber that has a luxurious smooth texture. Very easy to dye and paint with a highly reflective quality. Perfect fabric for lingerie, scarves and soft clothing styles.
Fabric Details
• 100% Crepe Back Silk Satin (Charmeuse)
• 12.5mm, 45" wide
• You can dye this with Acid Dyes
• We found that this shrinks 11% in Length and 4% in Width disclaimer
• Available in cut yardage and in 55 yard bolts
• Machine wash in any temperature water

Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

This is beautiful fabric I am painting it with setacolor paints was experimenting with this to use it in fiber art wallhangings -but may use for something else -I think I prefer the 19mm for the quilted wallhangings - It is great fabric & takes the paint beautifully

Beautiful material. Lighter weight then I had anticipated and the color is actually more of an ivory but the feel and the sheen are really nice!

I use the fabric for dyed projects - I use the IDye product with it and it works great. I boil it, wash it, tumble dry and iron - and it holds up well, retains its sheen and maintains a soft hand.
It tends to shift when pinning and cutting but an easy fix is to iron it to the "slick" side of freezer paper and it is dreamy...I love this fabric - you can't get a more luxurious look for the $.

12mm is not as heavy as 12mm was last order. same for the 8mm china silk I purchased last month, it feels more like a 7mm or 6.5....has your supplier changed?

The only problem I have had is figuring out on line which one I can use with a printer. But Now I have it and it is great. Wish it came in a wider size tho.

very low sheen on the supposed charmeuse side of the fabric; flat crepe appearance on both sides of fabric. very disappointing product.
