We used to carry the Print on Silk
sheets in only two fabrics, Habotai 10mm and Organza 5.5mm (previously known
as #PTOO - Extravorganza). But now you have your choice of 6 different silk
fabrics that behave just as the original habotai and organza sheets.
Specially treated, paper backed, 8.5" x 11" sheets of silk fabric run smoothly
through all brands of inkjet printers. The fabric is treated with the
Fabrisign
coating so the colors remain permanent and water resistant, no matter what
inks you use.
(NOTE: Print On Silk - Habotai 10mm is also available in
8.5 in. wide,
10 ft. long rolls. Perfect for anyone wanting to make banners of scarves!)
Also, the fabrics will remain soft with no 'feel' left over from the coating
and printing. Please note that while permanent
and water resistant, the fabric should not be washed or dry cleaned as
this can degrade the color quality. But, a gentle rinsing with cold water and
synthrapol
can remove excess ink that could run if the piece is exposed to liquids.
Very easy to use:
1. Create your design onscreen
2. Test on paper for orientation
3. Increase ink saturation in your printer options
4. Load 1 sheet of your inkjet fabric
5. Print your design
6. Peel the fabric off the paper backing
7. Allow to dry for 24 hours

Thanks so much for the quick, quick shipping! The order was here before I knew it! The silk sheets for the printer worked like a charm and were beautiful and very easy to do.
People were amazed when I told them that the vintage violet postcards were reproduced through my computer and printed on my printer on silk.

I tried both silk charmeuse & silk satin, found the silk charmeuse is superior for 2 reasons:
1. print quality was better (the black not so smudged)
2. it didn't fray as much
Colour was vibrant & with lining for support, project worked out gr8!

I ordered the silk to experiment with printing orchid photos on the silk for use in a quilt. The sheets printed very nicely. No problems at all with getting caught in my printer. I would not hesitate to use your product again. Thank you!

I love the silk printable fabric sheets. The Charmeuse in particular prints the Pantone colors from Illustrator nice and bright. As long as you set your printer on "best quality" not "photo paper".

Oh my but the silk print on silk sheets are awesome! I just finished making my own pary invitations. Printed out picture of surise - frayed the edges to really show that they are silk - glued to purchased blank invite. I'll be back for more of these!

Just getting started with this product & loving it.
Question: Is there a way to make something like this that is washable?

I used these to print out photo of sunrise. Quilted it onto a re-cycled dryer sheet. Frayed the edges and glued onto purchased blank cards to create one of a kind invitation. Awesome results!!

Fabric printed pretty well--- it may not hold up to wear but it worked for the purpose required at this time.

They were a good selection and I did need the extra sheets from the cotton silk assortment above. They worked perfectly with our printer.
