Product Description
An elegant, sheer fiber with a soft beautiful drape and a crepe like texture. Wider and heavier than our 8mm Chiffon.
Fabric Details
• 100% Silk Chiffon
• 10mm, 54" wide
• You can dye this with Acid Dyes
• We found that this shrinks 17% in Length and 8% in Width disclaimer
• Available in cut yardage and in 50 yard bolts
• Machine wash in any temperature water

Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

This was beautiful chiffon. It was a great weight, didn't shred so easily, and dyed beautifully. I only wish I'd chosen a lighter weight chiffon but the dress got a standing ovation at my fashion show.

I am so disappointed not to receive 15 yards of fabric folded instead of on a cardboard roll. This makes it very challenging for me. Wondered why the change? ***Dharma comment - sorry, we have really have no choice. The smaller rolls were great while they lasted, though never consistent in length. But now, shipping companies are charging usurious rates to ship lightweight but long packages - this is called "dimensional weight". 50 yard bolts are heavy enough that you are only paying for the actual weight.

Yummy! This is my favorite for nuno-felting...hand spun wool yarn that I've pre-knitted into narrow scarves will felt on this nicely too...

My first time ordering. . .used as an overlay (over a brighter flowery print)for my wedding dress. Am using as-is, a delicate ivory color. This fabric has been great to work with, much less stressful than I anticipated with a chiffon. Have been careful to use silk pins and sewing needle, as well as silk thread. . .the fabric has made my dress feel soooo lovely with a skirt that moves beautifully but is very light. I will definitely be purchasing more fabric from Dharma in the future!

I used this fabric awhile back in making 5 rolled-edge silk veils for use in the SCA. Someone less knowledgeable about fabrics than me saw me working on the project and said, "You're using polyester for that veil?!" and I was able to smile and say, "It cost about the same as polyester, but no, it's 100% silk!" Amazing, so many people don't know true quality when they see it.
