Product Description
I don't know why we decided to call this bag the 'Circle Bag with Bamboo Handles'. The bag itself is not circular, the handles are. We should have called it 'Bag with Circular Bamboo Handles', or 'Circular Bamboo Handle Bag'. Oh well, you can't win every naming battle.
Made from 100% cotton 'Baby Canvas', a thin, finely woven canvas. This bag has 1" flanged edges with double topstitching (hard to describe in words), and an open top design (no zipper or snaps to hold it closed). The handles are circular natural bamboo about 7.5" in diameter.
We don't think you can really dye them with the wood handles, although we haven't tried it. Maybe you could! But they are definitely ready for you to paint, embroider, blanket stitch, embellish with jewels, ribbons, foil, whatever! One of our nicest and most stylish bags.

have not tried to dye yet but I was able to disassemble the handles so I can submerge in dye. It will be easy to put them back on with just a staple gun and glue

I was able to dye the purses by removing the handles and basting it back closed so the fabric didn't fray. The cotton dyed nicely but I was disappointed to find that the thread did not dye. The purse "outline" thread is visible on the purse, as well as the outside edge surger stitches. Was not impressed with the handles, they are not varnished and not well sanded. I put on new handles and lined the inside and made a nice purse in the end. For the quality they are too expensive.

CAN ANYONE tell me whether the handles can be easily removed before dyeing, embellishing or paintng? Would be helpful if it could lie flat while working with it.
