Product Description

These wire bristle fiber blenders quickly and easily prepare fibers for needle felting.

  1. Hold brushes bristle to bristle with handles in opposite directions.
  2. With top brush, use quick light strokes - 3 down and then 1 up - to transfer fiber back and forth from brush to brush. Do this several times to make a little fiber "dust-bunny".

Blend two or more colors or types of fiber together for beautiful results. Turn leftover wool or acrylic yarn into felt-able fiber by brushing yarn ends with a single blender.

Made in: UNITED STATES (USA)

You can only use an extremely small amount of fiber otherwise it becomes all tangled within the paddles. It does seem to effect the structure of the fiber. The needles are small and weak and can only handle about the amount of wool you would use for the eye of a sculpture. So, if you are blending super small things - eye colors, small animal color graduations like guinea pigs or working with the mini silk felting that some people are doing now on etsy - I would suggest you pass on this. If you really want a blender tool for less - try 2 dog slicker brushes - many felting books recommend this for people starting out and not ready to start spending huge amounts of money on felting.

Difficult to use to blend the fiber - can only do a very little bit at a time - so extremely small amount at a time that it is only useful for very small needle felted sculptures. I also feel it destroyed the fineness of my fiber.

Disappointed. Thought these would be bigger. However, they work well on my poodles. I don't do much color blending anyway.
