I have purchased hundreds of these for many different school-wide projects. We have made many different kinds of Christmas ornaments. We also made mural-sized wall hangings by stitching the squares together. You're only limited by your imagination!

Our elementary art program plans to use these in our 5 schools this year ... to continue a silk painting feature for grades 4 & 5. We tried working with these hoops, and these work well with children.

These are great beginner projects for kids and adults alike. Much better than the junk from your local craft store. I am a retired art teacher. Also, the service and product choices are great..

These suncatchers are nice but the edges can come off if they become saturated with water or dye. Does not take dye quite as easily as unmounted silk so use slightly darker colors than needed.

I agree that the glue is not up to the standard it used to be - I use these in workshops and with the last set I ordered had to write off about 1/3 of them because of poor gluing.

What a lot of fun myself and the grandchildren had!!! We sun printed then, threw salt on them and had a whale of a time. I wished I had done it much earlier. Sorry, no pictures, kids took them home.

This product is great for making wall hangings, photo walls, ornaments for trees,
(comes in a variety of shapes and sizes) patio decorations, etc. I made a screen for my patio but dying silk hoops in a variety of sizes and shapes and
connecting them with hog nose pliers.

These rings are great for silk painting whether for adults or kids. I paint them with any of the dyes, but they cannot get wet, because they are small and cannot be ironed, steamed or dyeset. If you want to make permanent I would use fabric paints. I just hang them by thread as a window catcher. They are also good just to get people started painting on silk since they are small.

I am inexplicably drawn to these!! Every once in a while, I'm drawing a blank on what to paint and I'll pick one up and whip out a masterpiece while I'm thinking.
