Product Description

This 75% Viscose Rayon / 25% Silk blend fabric is delicious.  Not in the actual taste sense, but in the more figurative one, if you catch my drift.  With a weight equivalent to 18mm, this fabric has a nice luxurious feel and a beautiful rayon drape.  Although the fabric is semi-sheer when white, when dyed it is mostly opaque.  Get a sample, check it out, use it for interesting things, let us know how much you love it!

• 75% Viscose Rayon / 25% Silk
• 18mm Approx
• You can dye this with Our Fiber Reactive Dyes
• Suggested usage; Pants,skirts, blouses, shirts, home decor etc..
• We found that this shrinks 14% in Length and 2% in Width disclaimer
• Available in cut yardage ( bulk discounts levels at 10+ yds.) and in 55 yard bolts
• Machine wash in any temperature water

Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

Love this fabric! Think of it as a rayon/silk georgette. It has a very slightly slubby texture when washed, with slightly thicker threads running parallel to the selvedge. The color is a soft ivory, with no yellow tinge. It's very fluid after washing, but be sure to cut your project with the grain in mind, so the thicker threads run vertically.

Great fabric ! I was concerned because of the high rayon content so ran a tacking stitch along the cut ends and used a poly netbag to Idye in my washing machine. Came out well with excellent colour coverage, it was then hand painted with Dye na flow and stencilled and stamped using Lumiere and DecoFabric markers above . The result - wonderful !

Lovely fabric but much more sheer than I expected. Dyed in pale shades it's almost as sheer as organza. Drapes beautifully.

I found this product sheerer than I expected, and quite stiff to drape very well. Since I washed it I think it will drape better.

I really love this fabric. With the right dyes, it is subtly iridescent because of the difference in how the dye is expressed on silk vs. rayon. Beautiful! I wish there were a version a bit lighter (more like 8 - 10mm)!
