This is a wonderful fabric -- soft, subtly sheened, and launders up nicely. Unfinished edges fray a good bit, but that's my only real complaint with it. It dyes up beautifully, and that sheen is there even after dyeing. I've used it both dyed and undyed for constructing costume garments.

Better than other sateens I have used in my handmade heirloom baby quilts. Very pleased with the product.

I absolutely adore this fabric! Works great for both hand dyeing and hand painting; my only regret is that it is relatively expensive compared to the other cotton fabrics.

Not silky or shiny at all. Didn't dye all that well: I used a "deep purple" acid dye (since I had it on hand from the silk I had dyed) and it turned lavender. It didn't matter in my case since I had a layer of silk chiffon over it, but keep this in mind.

This is gorgeous and has a lovely hand, now I just have to decide what to do with it! I ordered a yard to check it out.

Have used this in many pieces. Last year I made a series of ten, 7' yardages (Mx dyed and printed with Aquabrites) and they are just beautiful. This is truly one of my very favorite fabrics to work with for all types of surface design. Sews beautifully --like butter!
