I expected more from this book.If wanting to paint in a style similar to the author it's ok I guess but not offering a lot of other colours or techniques for a beginner.

I loved the book! I actually found a lot of instruction in it. You don't have to even do the projects to learn a lot from it, if you know how to read! And Addie's art is inspiring!!!

I was lucky to have taken a silk painting with Addie. She is a great teacher and her new book is almost as good as being in her class. This colorful book is jammed packed with 10 lessons, step by step. Addie explains in detail many facts about the lessons and painting on silk with dyes in general. The paper is heavy card stock in a spiral binding. This combines to produce a very user friendly book.
