4/2/2008This is absolutely my favorite metallic paint! It goes on so smoothly and leaves a soft texture, not stiff at all. It works on all kinds of fibers. I've painted it on silk for an embellishment and it leaves the silk still lovely and soft but with a metallic sheen. I've used it on leather, suede, shoes, paper, even my front door!

3/21/2008Love these! Durable, easy to use, easy to clean up, beautiful colors. After heat setting (24 hours to dry), they are wash and dryable. I don't even turn them inside out.

6/29/2010I ordered some of the lumiere paints for use on leather, which is a very difficult material to print on. These inks work wonderfully on the deerskin so far, next i will try split lambskin (suede texture). To test the durability I stretched the hyde and wet the surface and even scrubbed it with the scrubbing side of a sponge and it has withheld all, began to scrub off eventually, but really a terrific paint and I highly recommend to anyone that is block printing or painting on leather.

2/21/2012Beautiful product, the Lumiere goes on so smoothly and it is a nice opaque colour with one or two coats. It's good for synthetic fabric.

3/5/2013I was curious about the Lumiere Hi-Lite and decided to give it a try it. I was very happy with the results! It looks white with a hint of metallic violet in the jar, but shows up as a light, yet vibrant violet with a tad bit of sparkle on dark fabrics. I would recommend it's use only on darker fabrics. The Hi-Lite's color doesn't show as well on lighter fabrics.

10/22/2012Overall great product; I almost gave it 5 stars and maybe should, but it takes a lot of coats to cover black fabric completely (4 for blue and 5 for red). It is soft and flexible though.
I'm a guy who was painting two pairs of Chuck Taylors. The Red isn't quite the strong, bold red I wanted and leans ever so slightly pink. The Blue, however, runs between royal blue and bright indigo (in other words, really stunning). Was this review helpful?

4/11/2012Beautiful way to give new life to purses. I used sponge stamps in a free form pattern. Result is long lasting beautiful coverage.

11/22/2010this stuff is the bomb! I painted a large piece of thick polyester knit fabric (for a wedding banner) and it was marvelous! it did not bleed or travel beyond my painting lines, it also goes a 'long way'.
