I am a traditionally trained Spiritual Guide, using Silk Light Art to help my clients to achieve higher and altered states of Consciousness. After 20 years of training in Fine Art and in Spiritual Arts, I have merged the two! I have always known I would be an artist, and was always interested in my Native American heritage as well. Studying Shamanism with a traditional Native Elder has allowed me unique access to the Creative World, as well as the ability to guide clients in creating Custom Art.
When I was a little girl, I watched my grandfather paint, and I was the only one who was allowed to use his studio. I began then with Acrylics, and then moved into many mediums while studying Studio Art at American University. Eventually, I felt this passion for creating art that mimics Nature, and I started to study how Light moves on Flowers. Thats how I discovered Silk!
Silk is the only medium that achieves the brightness and luminosity of Nature, and I began to push farther, wanting to light it up! After 10+ years, I came up with a custom frame format and lights that are like nothing else.
Silk Light Art. I have many different styles, I do custom work with Designers and private Clients, and I also teach at the local Art League and College here at the Beach. Using Sacred Geometries like the Flower of Life and the Golden Mean allow my creations to emerge naturally from the place of Spirit, the place of Dreams, and whatever my intention is or whatever the space needs, it always appears on top of the framework I set forth.
I use 10-14 mm Habotai Silk with Dye-Na-Flow, and Jacquard. Sign up for my newsletter to hear about online classes with tons of tips and secrets for Silk Painting that I have learned in the past 15 years.
Something that may inspire you that we probably have in common is that Silk seems to have a life of its own. The transparency, the translucence, the sheer beauty and life of it inspire me to want to make more and more moving works each time. I truly love this medium and it always comes through for me, like an Angel of Light.
