Newport Cotton is a 3-ply yarn, resembling a strong cord-like silk. Combing and mercerizing the cotton fiber polishes and makes it lustrous, so Newport has more sheen than our other cottons. What's more, it's made from Pima cotton, which is one of the longest and finest cotton fibers available. If you want to make a cotton garment that will look newly minted many years from now, this is your baby. Accepts dye like a sponge!

• 100% combed mercerized gassed pima cotton 
• Approximately 8 oz., approx. 415 yds, 1 skein
• Approximately 20 sts per 4" on US 7-9 or 4.5-5.5mm
• Dyes great with Fiber Reactive Dye
