Artist Bio / Statement

Hello from Barbara Holmes at Owl House Batik! I'm a batik artist in the foothills of Mt. Hood in Oregon. I love nature. Hiking and exploring with my family and dog are how I get inspiration for my creativity. I have been getting all of my clothing blanks from Dharma Trading for over 10 years. I hand batik cotton rabbit skins onesies, T shirts & dresses for babies and kids. As well as some art banners also from Dharma. I use soywax and procion dyes to hand batik fun designs on the front and back my clothing line. Most weekends I can be found selling my batik clothing at the iconic Downtown Portland Saturday Market.
