The Retarding Agent is used to slow the drying time down as when silk-screening or when the design idea requires the fabric to stay wet longer. After diluting dye (1 part dye to 2-4 parts H2O) or thickening for screen printing, add 1-2% retarding agent to slow dry time. Too much retarding agent will affect color & wash fastness or cause variations in color. Allow to dry for 24 hours, then heat set lightly with an iron or in a hot dryer for best results.
