In 2017 a classic board game removed this iconic game token. Dharma has decided to step up and offer the thimble a new lease on life. What about using them in quilting, stitching and other needle crafts?
We think it's a fabulous idea and, quite frankly, are amazed no one has thought of it before!
It did make a great game piece but this is really handy!
These nickel plated steel thimbles have sensory pleasing ridges all along them; originally they were intended to help you get a better grip on the game piece as you went from property to property bankrupting your friends and family, but we noticed that the little ridges are just the right size to keep your needle from slipping AND they can also be used to protect fingertips from those annoying little needle pricks! The possibilities are endless! ...well, unless you've considered those two possibilities.
But look at it this way, everything needs a function and, after being so cruelly rejected from that 'big box game', the humble thimble now has a purpose. It may not have been what it was originally created to do, but we think it works pretty well all the same and we hope you agree!
