Adia Jamille

My name is Adia Jamille and I am a textile designer and creator, and fiber artist. I grew up with a quilter mother, and while I never too to quilting I was always interested in HOW textiles work and are created. In my twenties I studied the fiber arts, and introduced myself to Dharma. Currently I run my own textile design and creation business. I create textiles for fashion, home, etc. I get inspired by everything; nature, architecture, art, color combos, textures, etc. I feel that I can find inspiration any and every where. I just love that you can take a plain piece of fabric, add a little dye or paint, and create something amazing! I love the way that as much as you try, you can't completely control the outcome, but most of the time it's beautiful.
I use a TON of Dharma products. If I can get it at Dharma, I usually do.
The fabrics I use most are Silk Noil, Silk Organza, Essex (my favorite for screen printing), Osnaburg (my favorite for cloth napkins and kitchen towels), and the Silk Charmeuse scarves.
For dyes and paints I use the procion dyes, the Setasilk, and Setacolor paints. I also use the Indigo and the discharge (color remover) supplies.
