Alicia D Keshishian

Alicia D. Keshishian is an award-winning designer with more than 30 years of professional experience as an art director, graphic designer, surface designer and illustrator. She holds a BFA in Design/ Illustration from the CCAC and was an artist-in-residence at The Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina between career shifts. She currently wears many hats - she produces a line of custom, handmade-to-order carpets, is a popular speaker, lecturer and presenter on design and color, and continues to make art in her studio. Alicia's true loves have always been color and texture. She comes from a long line of accomplished artists on both sides of her family and takes great comfort in that lineage. Like so many artists, nature and travel are her main sources of inspiration so she continues to travel as often as possible. Alicia is so grateful that Dharma is local so spontaneity doesn't stop her creative process. Since most of her work is in textiles she buys all of her procion dyes, fabric paint, dyeable fabrics, soda ash, and sodium alginate (just to name a few) from Dharma. Alicia has studied with Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, and continues to increase her knowledge of color through her association with the Color Marketing Group.
