My name is Angela Stewart, I create unique and functional paper and home goods at my studio the Ladybug Press! All our original designs are sustainably printed with care in our studio. Functional goods made by real people for real people. We specialize in letterpress & screen printing. We sell our goods on our website www.ladybugpress.com and on etsy ladybugpress.etsy.com and in person at shows.
I found that only white flour sack tea towels were available in the market place to print on, but I really wanted to print on color towels as well as our white towels. So we bought some dye and did some test batches in buckets and learned tons! The result was lots of fun colored towels! Then we set out to dye our towels in small batches in a washing machine. We use Procion Fiber Reactive Dyes on our all cotton flour sack towels.
My illustrations are inspired by my love of the beauty in simple everyday objects and the great outdoors.
