I have been drawing and painting all my life, but became captivated by silk painting six years ago when my daughter got married. After failing to find just the right thing to wear, I decided to make it myself. I ordered some supplies and made a beautiful scarf to accompany the dress I also made. I fell in love with the art form then, and have been creating unique silk art ever since.
I am inspired by the colors and patterns found in nature. I love taking a tiny part of something and blowing it up to become an abstraction on a piece of silk.
