Anthony Bonito

Anthony "Bones" Bonito is an American-born Australian artist/musician who started tie-dyeing after immigrating to Australia in 2005. Bones was lucky enough to experience the Grateful Dead subculture in his youth and still draws inspiration from flashbacks of the amazing tie-dyes that he was exposed to at that time. Since then, he has forged a signature style that combines reduction dyeing, batik, and more standard techniques to produce vivid, psychedelic clothing that he sells as official "Bones" merchandise at his One-Man-Band performances, as well as markets and festivals in Western Australia, where he now resides with his partner.
After using Naphtol/Diazo dyes for a couple years, Bones discovered Procion dyes in 2008 and has not looked back. 2010 will see Bones expanding his artistic scale and scope, producing stretched canvas style wall hangings, bedding, and banners, as well as establishing a website dedicated to his tie-dyes and music.
