Aubrey Rose

My name is Kellie of Aubrey Rose, and I am a wife of 7 years and mother to a beautiful 14 month-old boy. I work from home, creating beautiful hand-dyed and handmade cloth diapers, lovie blankets, and wash cloths/wipes. I have been sewing for just over a year now, and I am always learning to sew new things. My son is my inspiration for sewing and essentially dyeing as well. I started with sewing his own cloth diapers before branching out and sewing for family, friends, and the community. The irony in what I do is that I have such a true passion for dyeing and sewing, which my son inspires, even though he rarely allows for either. lol. My amazing husbands really helps me to dye and sew. I am always left surprised and amazed with every piece I dye because, like snowflakes, no two pieces will ever be alike. I love the uniqueness of each piece. I currently use the fiber reactive dyes, and they are beyond amazing. So bright and bold. My favorite colors are Robbins egg blue, lime squeeze and dragon fruit. In my store you will always find something I made from an amazing piece of dyed fabric that I hand-dyed. I try to use mostly Organic bamboo fabrics, but I use some cottons as well. My favorite method of dyeing with Dharma dyes are "Ice Dyeing" and "Low Immersion." I love the ability to control the outcome, but only to a certain extent. Then the dyes take over and create a magical world in my fabric.
