Dharma Trading Company is my product supplier of choice since 2002. Since then, I have been happily dyeing scarves for fun and selling them to satisfy my addiction to silk painting. I have taken many classes in the US from many well-known professional silk artists. Now, I have my own technique. I try to utilize many colors into one scarf so customers can wear it with numerous outfits.
My scarves are mostly abstracts... with nature as my inspiration. I strive for visual depth using layers of Dharma Soy Wax, with color blending, salt, alcohol and Sodium Alginate Thickener for texture and interest.
Sennelier Tinfix Dyes move, blend, and retain their vibrancy through all my techniques and provide consistent quality in my scarves. Tinfix allows the scarves to remain supple and luxurious.
My favorite silk blank is the Dharma Silk Satin 14 X 72 inches machine hemmed in 12 momme. It is consistently perfectly hemmed and my customers love the buttery feel against their skin.
